OUR INNOVATIONS
AN OVERVIEW
No. 22 has always prided ourselves as innovators in the titanium bike space. We utilize a number of cutting-edge technologies from EDM wire cutting, Cerakote finishing, and 3D laser sintering to name a few. The resulting synergies of technology allow us to produce some of the most forward-thinking titanium bikes available.
Today, aside from a few headset internals and the Enve hardware on our toppers, there is not a component of our framesets that is not made by us, or uniquely for us.
IN-LINE COUPLER SYSTEM + BRAKE BREAK
We have developed our own seamless in-line coupler system for travel bikes that is all but invisible from six inches away. Pairing this with our hydraulic brake like dry decoupler, one can completely split a bike in two.
3D SINTERED TITANIUM COMPONENTS
In late 2022, we debuted the first 3D printed titanium elements incorporated into our frames. This technology massively expands the formal and structural possibilities of the material. We currently use it in our dropouts, seat posts, seat mast toppers, and in the stems of our fully internal cable routing system.

We have a blog entry about our 3D sintered dropouts, or you can tune-in to the Bike Rumor Podcast where No. 22 Co-Founder Mike Smith explains the process and benefits in this application.
BESPOKE FULLY INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING SYSTEM
Fully internal cable routing has become somewhat of a requirement on top-tier offerings and we wanted to set ourselves further apart from the competition with our solution.
Composed of machined and EDM cut titanium spacers and dust cap, crowned by our fully bespoke 3D sintered titanium stem, held in place by proprietary Prototipo Works hardware, and finished to match the bike, we've exceeded even our own expectations.
The system is an optional upgrade available on all of our disc models.

For more, No. 22 Co-Founder Bryce Gracey, discusses the system on the Cycling Tips "Nerd Alert" podcast linked below.
OWN OUR Line of FORKS
Carbon forks are notoriously hard to design and fabricate, which is why many custom carbon manufacturers reach for 'off the shelf' solutions.
No. 22 has designed and developed our own fork offerings under the No. 6 Composites moniker for years. The results of this effort are a wide range of performance-oriented forks with lower weight, more options, and more offsets that are typically available to framebuilders. This has allowed us to design both our stock and custom frames without compromise in this regard.
Check out the whole lineup of No. 6 forks below.
CERAKOTE + ANODIZED FINISHES
For years, we have offered some of the best executed anodized finishes available. We remain enchanted with how the inclusion of color on titanium is not done with dyes or pigment, but rather an electrochemical process that creates the appearance of color through light refraction, similar to how one sees a rainbow in an oil puddle.
Over those years it has been our aim to pair the anodized sections of our bike with complimentary colors on the remainder of the frame and fork. With Cerakote, we finally found what we were looking for. Not only is this ceramic based finish incredibly durable, at one micron thick (one twenty-five thousandth of an inch), it is also extremely light and thin making the transition between the anodized elements and Cerakote surround practically imperceivable.
