WARRANTY
We build bicycles for the rider who appreciates perfectly tuned ride quality as much as stiffness and low weight—the rider who loves to ride for riding's sake. Our point of departure is frame material: we fell in love with the ride of titanium and named our company after it. We then took to the task of sweating details of fit and finish. Our frames are based on carefully considered geometries and tubing profiles. We use the highest grades of titanium tubing available, build our frames in our own production facility in the United States with our veteran craftspeople, and back every one with a clearly defined ten-year warranty that—unlike most in our segment—does not exclude fatigue.

OUR APPROACH
We are occasionally asked why we offer a ten-year warranty in contrast to the "lifetime" warranties advertised by other titanium builders. The short version: we wanted to be clear rather than clever. A "lifetime" warranty sounds generous, but in practice it is almost always limited to the "useful life cycle" of the bicycle—an arbitrary, undefined window—and it nearly always excludes the most common real-world failure mode in titanium: fatigue. Ten years is long enough for any construction defect to surface, it is clearly defined, and it covers fatigue. If your frame fails within that decade, we will make it right.
FRAME WARRANTY — 10 YEARS
No. 22 Bicycle Company Inc. ("No. 22") warrants to the original retail purchaser that our frames are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of ten years from the date of original retail purchase. This warranty includes failure from fatigue.
This warranty is offered solely to the original retail purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners. No. 22's sole obligation under this warranty is, at its discretion, to (a) repair the defect at no charge, (b) exchange the frame with one that is functionally equivalent to the original, or (c) credit the original frame purchase price toward the purchase of a new frame. Shipping to and from our facility, and any labour associated with a claim — such as removing or refitting components — remain the responsibility of the owner.
To the extent that any defect or failure is reasonably attributable to abuse, misuse, alteration, modification, accident, neglect, improper assembly, installation, or maintenance, or to any other abnormal, excessive, or improper conditions or use, this warranty will be void.
ACCESSORY WARRANTY — 5 YEARS
No. 22 warrants the accessories that we manufacture to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five years from the date of original retail purchase. This warranty applies only to accessories produced by No. 22, and does not extend to third-party products that we may resell. The remedies, exclusions, and conditions described under the Frame Warranty above apply equally to accessories.
CRASH REPLACEMENT
Crash damage is not covered under the warranties above. We understand, however, that frames and accessories are sometimes lost to circumstances beyond a rider's control. Original owners whose No. 22 products are damaged in a crash are invited to contact us to discuss a crash replacement on preferential terms. Each situation is considered on a case-by-case basis.
A NOTE ON THIRD-PARTY ACCESSORIES
Although titanium is a very durable material, like any material it is subject to abrasion. Packs, bags, and other accessories mounted in a way that contacts the frame can rub and cause damage to your No. 22's finish. We strongly suggest placing frame protection products such as protective tape or patches at points of contact. We cannot warrant against damage caused by third-party accessories.
MAKING A CLAIM
To make a warranty claim, contact us in writing at sales@22bicycles.com with photos of the issue, your original sales receipt or order number, and a brief description of how the issue developed. No. 22 must be notified of any claim within 60 days of discovering the defect. We will respond promptly to walk you through next steps.
LEGAL
The duration of any implied warranty or condition of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise on any No. 22 product shall be limited to the duration of the applicable warranty set out above. In no event shall No. 22 be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or damage—whether direct, incidental, consequential, or otherwise—resulting from breach of any express or implied warranty or condition, except as set forth herein.
This warranty will be interpreted pursuant to the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein and shall be treated in all respects as an Ontario contract.
